Please see the report on News.com.au website this morning regarding the hearing aid industry. Claims have been made regarding the upselling of hearing aids so that audiologists get bonuses.
The ACCC is currently investigating the industry and there is a link on their website if you have found yourself in the same situation.
It is true that hearing aids are sold at immense costs, which is very inhumane. People with a hearing problem are bound to buy a hearing aid to go on with their everyday life, and audiologists are taking advantage of this and ripping them off.

Yes, this happens. At BHA we want to make sure that people are aware that this occurs and to know that there are cheaper / free options available. We also have a Hearing Aid Bank of Recycled hearing aids for those not covered under government support.
