Better Hearing Australia (Victoria) engages across the community to create awareness of hearing loss and to offer solutions to improve the quality of life and opportunity for those who live with this impairment.
Today Better Hearing Australia (Vic) incorporates in its mission and focus a recognition of changing lifestyles and advances in technology in all realms of life. With this in mind we engage across the community to encourage constructive responses to hearing loss, tinnitus and other hearing concerns at both group and individual levels.
We aim to:
- improve the well being and quality of life for people with hearing loss
- raise community awareness concerning issues of importance for people with hearing loss
- encourage prevention of hearing loss and tinnitus.
To fulfil our mission we provides a range of services to support, advise and inform people with a hearing loss, tinnitus or other hearing concerns and to advocate on issues affecting their lives.
Our approach to service delivery reflects the following core principles:
- responsive planning and support provision
- close monitoring for continual improvement
- respect for privacy and confidentiality.
These underpinning principles encourage diverse approaches and responses to improving the quality of service delivery outcomes for people using our services.
