At Better Hearing Australia, our vision is to reduce the impact of hearing related issues on individuals and the community, and to achieve this through leadership in service provision and advocacy for quality hearing loss services.
We aim to be regarded as the independent expert organisation in hearing loss management.
In our work with clients and the community, we are guided by these principles:
- Evidence-based research
Evidence-based service provision
We identify community needs and orientate service delivery to meet current and emerging population needs, informed on evidence-based best practice.
We develop, expand and strengthen key strategic partnerships that will improve client outcomes, service efficiency and sustainability.
Equity of access
We remain independent and client focused to advocate and promote opportunities for all people affected by hearing related issues to receive appropriate care when and where it is needed.
We promote and support research into hearing related issues that investigates and quantifies the impact of these issues on individuals and the community and identifies opportunities for improving public policy and evidence-based service delivery.
We ensure we have adequate and sustainable models to raise appropriate revenue to pursue our mission with independence.
